We have identified an issue affecting a small subset of streams, causing song metadata to be stuck or metadata updates to be ignored intermittently. An emergency fix for this issue has been deployed and all metadata updates are being processed normally again.
We will be working to better understand the scope and duration of this issue, which preliminary data indicates started on October 5th. Our engineering team will also be implementing improved internal monitoring of the underlying system that facilitates stream metadata through our redundant Streaming Network, in order to mitigate future metadata issues and minimize the impact on broadcasters.
