At 1:06 PM, we experienced a brief website and API outage, where these services were unavailable for about 8 minutes. Service has been fully restored and we apologize for this incident. Traffic to the Streaming Network was unaffected.
This outage occurred during a routine deployment of new features. We observed a database deadlock occurring during a database migration which caused our main web services to become unavailable. Our engineering team swiftly intervened to identify and restore service. We will be working to understand why this happened and how to prevent it from happening again in the future.
A deployment freeze will be in effect starting today, for the remainder of the year, in order to ensure smooth operation over the Christmas holidays. We apologize again for any disruption this had on your service.
